Homeschooling & Reading!

Yes, we decided to homeschool Carrie for Kindergarten this year. I'm convinced that this is the best decision for her right now, and amazingly I'm actually kinda looking forward to it. She is thrilled!

And, while most of the credit for this new development goes to her fabulous preschool teachers, Carrie read her first few stories out of a beginning reader today. These were stories that she had never heard read to her before, so she is figuring out the words all on her own. Great job Carrie! I am SO proud of you!

All Dressed Up and Nowhere to Go!

Well, Carrie was so excited to start ballet last Saturday morning. But when we got there, we found out that the class doesn't start until next Saturday! She was SO dissapointed, but still smiled for a picture! I'm sure I'll take plenty more pics next Saturday when we actually make it into the building!
